Trickle Up Poverty and Change We Are Ordered To Believe In
The latest assault comes in the form of mad-dog socialism dressed in top hat and tails, an ideal Americans can look upon with hope and in the spirit of change: A friend in need is a friend indeed, even if not in deed. Just ignore that foaming mouth, no danger here; that is just those right-wingers trying to distract you.
Capitalism is wrong. It is destructive, immoral.... a failure.... the source of all corruption. Darn it, it must be abolished. Too bad for capitalism that we have not actually operated under this system for decades - we appeared to do so, and that's close enough for government work. Of course, it is all well and good that Mr. Obama got HIS fair share of the pie before demanding the rest be cut into smaller and smaller slices. I guess he does not realize that eventually he will be cutting air, the pieces handed around nothing more than imagination of a taste to whet the appetite, the aroma of pie still lingering in the air.
From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs. Joe Biden can act as offended as he wants, but there is no denying this is the root of Mr. Obama's economic and social policy, to "spread the wealth around" to those who are behind you. I once read somewhere that over time, ability turns into a liability and need into an asset. How is this truly a viable economic system, being built upon great disincentives to produce and even greater incentives to consume?
I watch it all in unmitigated disgust. They all claim to know the problem and know the solution, but they look no further than the surface. The Mortgage Crisis. No one mentions the other plagues that have been visited upon the people: Devastating unemployment, legalized USURY of credit card-issuing banks (done with a nod of approval from Congress), and federal and state governments with an insatiable appetite.
Why is it they have so much focus on failing mortgages that usury is allowed to slip by without notice? Perhaps if the government would pull in the reins on the banking industry allowing them to rape consumers (middle class citizens) for 30% or more interest, applied retroactively on money borrowed at far lower terms, literally forcing people into indentured servitude FOREVER, there might be more money to spend and the marketplace would not be contracting so deeply.
And don't even get me started on the unconstitutional budget of the federal government - including all the little pet projects Barry and friends want to add in.
